Our client, based in Northampton employs over 4,500 people in the UK and is a leading charity in their field with an amazing culture!  They are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join their procurement team who are embarking upon a transformation by applying Category Management.  

To support this transition they are recruiting a Senior Category Buyer.
This role will be based in the Northampton Head Office, serving their multiple sites in the UK. 

The Senior Category Buyer will support the Strategic Procurement Leadership team managing a multi-million spend category.   This role represents an opportunity to shape the future of strategic procurement.

Senior Category Buyer will be accountable and responsible for implementing successful sourcing strategies and to ensure that the best practice application of Category Management. 

Essential Experience 
•    Indirect procurement. 
•    RFQ, tendering, negotiating and drafting contracts.
•    Engaging and managing multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
•    Delivering sustainable cost improvements. 
•    New vendor sourcing and development.

Experience advantageous but not essential: 

•    Ethical Sourcing.
•    SAP.
