Our client, based in Corby is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic person who likes variety and diversity in their work environment, someone who is prepared to work on their own initiative and as part of a small team.

The role will include a variety of duties and will get involved in all areas from Stock to Production:

  • Stock control, including minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Rotational stock checks.
  • Raising POs for stock replenishment.
  • Match all POs with goods delivered, discuss any shortages, damaged goods or picking errors with suppliers, when required.
  • Liaise with the supplier, either credit or replacement products.
  • Stock rotation.
  • Inputting goods receipts onto Sage.
  • Goods in and stock allocation.
  • Create stock locations on racking and Sage as required.
  • Organise any goods returns.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles.

Manufacturing

  • Paint Mixing.
  • Cover holiday and busy periods in the mixing room.                         
  • Pick orders from stock.

Deliveries

  • Prepare all paperwork for dispatch.
  • Package goods as and when required.
  • Prepare deliveries for carriers, Fedex, Crowfoots, DHL or other
  • Liaise with the appropriate couriers as and when required.
  • Prepare and load own vehicles.
  • Organise economical routes for own vehicles.
  • Undertake deliveries as required.

Warehouse

  • Maintain a clean and organised warehouse.
  • Maintain a high standard of warehouse housekeeping.
  • Ensure all machinery is kept clean, maintained, and serviced accordingly.
  • Support other parts of the business as and when required.
  • Remove all rubbish and adhere to and sustain high levels of H&S on the shop floor
  • Keep all equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Maintain all spillage kits, in the vans and warehouse.
  • Organise and maintain all maintenance schedules; Fire Extinguishers, Compressors, Fork Lift, Pump Truck, Vans, etc.

 

Skills and experience  

We are looking for a well organised individual to juggle numerous vital parts of the operations, with good time management skill.  Ideally you will have some warehouse or stock control, logistics experience.  You will have a good level of IT Literacy and have good attention to detail.

You must be physically fit and able to lift fairly heavy weight, you must hold a full driver’s licence and a Forklift licence is ideal, but not essential.
