Guillotine Operator (Sheet Metal) Location: Kettering Contract: Temporary (3 months) | Hours: Mon–Thurs 7:00am–4:00pm, Fri 7:00am–1:00pm Pay: Competitive hourly rate
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Guillotine Operator to join their busy manufacturing team on a 3-month temporary contract.
This is a hands-on role within a well-established Kettering business, offering consistent hours and a supportive environment where quality and precision are key.
Operate guillotine cutting machines to accurately cut sheet metal to specified dimensions
Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation
Conduct quality checks to maintain high production standards
Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily targets and deadlines
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Lift and handle various sheet metals, including aluminium, plastisol, and galvanised steel
Proven experience operating guillotine machinery or working in a sheet-metal environment is highly desirable
Confident reading and measuring accurately with a ruler (Grade 5 / C or above in Maths preferred)
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Forklift licence advantageous (refresher training can be provided if expired)
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-focused approach
