Job Overview:
Business Development Executive
B2B Sales with Purpose | Make a Difference for Youth | Kettering (Hybrid)
This isn’t a box-ticking sales role.
We’re working with a growing organisation that partners with employers to improve how young people access and succeed in early careers. Demand is rising, the message resonates, and the opportunity is genuine.
They’re now looking for a Business Development Executive who enjoys opening doors, starting conversations and building long-term relationships — not just chasing transactions. Your work will directly support today’s youth, helping employers create meaningful opportunities that shape the next generation.
The role
A proactive, outward-facing position where you’ll manage your own pipeline and have consultative conversations with HR, Talent and People leaders. You’ll identify opportunities for employers to improve early careers strategies and make a tangible difference for young people entering the workforce.
There’s structure and support — but also space to bring your own style, ideas and energy.
What you’ll be doing
• Generating new membership business via phone, email and LinkedIn
• Building and managing a strong sales pipeline
• Holding discovery conversations with decision-makers to understand challenges
• Presenting services through engaging online meetings
• Handling objections and guiding prospects through decision-making
• Collaborating with marketing on campaigns and outreach
• Attending employer events and forums to create youth-focused opportunities
• Owning the customer journey from first contact to successful membership
Why you’ll love this role
• Your sales activity directly impacts today’s youth and early career opportunities
• You’re selling something with purpose — not a generic product
• Consultative, meaningful conversations rather than transactional calls
• The role exists because the business is growing
• Influence, autonomy and scope to shape your role and the business
• Top-end salary of £32,000 + uncapped commission
• Hybrid flexibility with work-from-home Fridays
• 25 days’ annual leave + bank holidays and 2 extra wellbeing days
• Paid volunteer days, free breakfast & lunch, free on-site parking
• Friendly, inclusive, dog-friendly office environment
