Job Title:              Backorder Administrator

Reports to:         Purchasing Supervisor

 

Profile

The Backorder Administrator is responsible for ensuring all back orders are updated correctly and accurately on a daily basis. The Backorder Administrator will also ensure that stock resourcing is undertaken to ensure the product is delivered to the customer in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with suppliers by phone and email
  • Monitoring Backorder mailbox and acting on emails
  • Chasing backorders via a number of methods (back order reports, websites, email) 
  • Re-sourcing stock for orders where the due date is excessive
  • Ensure KPI’s set by Purchasing Supervisor Head of Supply Chain are being achieved for back orders
  • Liaising with Account Managers
  • Undertake any other ad hoc duties as required, which are deemed necessary to assist with the needs of the company

 

Skills & Experience

  • A knowledge of and interest in IT Supplies and Solutions
  • Good numeracy and IT skills, particularly spread sheets and databases
  • Strong verbal and excellent written communication skills
  • Literate and numerate to a good standard
  • Effective personal organisation and planning
  • IT Literate in relevant packages for role including in-house packages

Hours M-F 0900-1730

In line with current government restrictions, this role will be working from home initially so relatable experience will be neccessary
