Job Overview:

Financial Assistant

Monday - Friday

10.00 – 3.00 pm

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be supporting the Financial Controller in the tasks as set out below, in addition you will be happy to support other areas of the business as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years work experience, with a minimum of one year’s experience in Accounts, some understanding of stock and stock control would be beneficial, but not essential.

Job function

  • Collation and input of purchase invoices
  • Receipt of all stock
  • Stock transfers
  • Stock adjustments
  • Raise sales invoices
  • Resolve all invoice queries with suppliers.
  • Reconciliation of Credit Card and SagePay, and Global Payments

Non-Accounts duties:

  • Answer phone, as required
  • Take customer orders, as required

Monthly tasks:

  • Reconcile all supplier invoices / statements
  • Nominal ledger control reconciliations
  • Input nominal ledger journals
  • Customer statements reviews

Knowledge of Sage 200 or Sage packages would also be advantageous, but not compulsory.

  • To be able to multitask and prioritise accordingly

  • Make decisions, with the support and input from the management team
  • Work on own initiative
  • Trouble shoot, when required.
